Request to Preserve a Meaningful Guild House

Hello!

We would like to make a small request regarding the upcoming Guild House system.

Many of us have very fond memories of the old Templarios Guild House. It wasn't just a building on the server—it was a place where friendships were made, adventures began, and countless moments were shared. Even though the guild is no longer active (TWoW shutdown hit them really hard) that location still carries a great deal of sentimental value for many players.

We understand that the new Guild House system will work differently, and we completely respect whatever technical or gameplay limitations may exist. However, if possible, we would love to ask that the old Templarios Guild House not be removed from the server. If ownership must change under the new system, we would be honored to purchase or claim it for Caminantes, preserving it as a tribute to the friends and memories that once called it home.

This request is not about gaining an advantage or receiving special treatment. It is simply about preserving a small piece of the server's history that means a lot to us and to many players who shared that journey.

Thank you for taking the time to read our request and for all the work you put into the server. Whatever the outcome, we truly appreciate your consideration.

Sincerily, Caminantes.

Please, we have so many memories in that guild house. We even spent the server shutdown there.

That's exactly what we're concerned about.

Since Templarios is no longer an active guild, we're worried that the Guild House could end up being claimed by someone with no connection to its history, or simply be redesigned or lost over time.

Our hope is either to preserve it as a community landmark or, if ownership is required under the new system, to have the opportunity to purchase it for Caminantes. We would take care of it not just as our Guild House, but as a tribute to Templarios and the memories they created there.

Many of us were once members of Templarios, while others were close friends of the guild. More importantly, we'd like to preserve this place not only for ourselves, but for any former Templarios members who may return one day. We hope they can still find the house they once called home and know that its legacy has been cared for and remembered.

To us, this isn't about just a guild house. It's about preserving a meaningful piece of the server's history. We believe the best way to honor that legacy is to keep the house alive, cared for, and recognizable, so that future generations of players can also appreciate the stories and friendships that began there.

We think that kind of continuity gives a community history, and that's something worth preserving.

i understand your concerns
but this not Turtle anymore
what server history?

every guild should have the opportunity to buy guild houses and not have the monopolistic tactics of Turtle

I completely understand your point, and I agree that every guild should have a fair opportunity to own a Guild House. This isn't about asking for an exclusive privilege or trying to recreate the old Turtle system.

What we're talking about isn't ownership for the sake of ownership—it's about preserving a place that already holds meaning for many people.

For some of us, that house isn't just a location on the map. It's where friendships were built, events took place, and memories were made over many years. Some of us were members of Templarios, while others were close friends who shared part of that journey. We'd love for that place to remain a living reminder of those memories rather than becoming just another customizable plot.

If the new system requires someone to own it, we'd be happy to purchase it ourselves. Not because we think we deserve special treatment, but because we genuinely want to care for it and preserve it—for ourselves, for former Templarios members, and for anyone who remembers what that place represented.

Even though this is a new server, communities don't start from nothing. They are built by people, their friendships, and the stories they carry with them. Preserving a place like this isn't about living in the past; it's about honoring the people who helped create the community we have today.

Hi, a former GM of Templarios here. I just wanted to say that I support the Caminantes initiative. We were on Turtle for four years, and we spent the final stretch alongside them. Although we are no longer part of the community, I think it would be great to keep that little piece of Azeroth—which gave rise to so many stories and moments—alive. This server is rising from the ashes of what was once a major WoW private server; I believe that preserving small remnants of that legacy, would be great.

P.S. If the location still exists and any guild could use it—like in Turtle's last guild house system—that would be a good solution.

Hi, I was also a member of Templarios on the TurtleWoW server, and I have so many beautiful memories of the many people I met and shared time with in that guild house. I fully support this lovely initiative led by Caminantes. Above all, because a beautiful fellowship was achieved with them, and the guild house itself became a point of union for all of us. It’s wonderful to see that they want to preserve beautiful things that can transcend from server to server. Furthermore, it gives people who were part of the guild a place to go, not only to be welcomed by friendly faces, but also to return to the place that was their home within the game for many years.

An old member Templarios here, I wouldn't mind seeing the guild house be open to EVERYONE if its staying, we aren't here anymore and our guild house was supposed to be an inn. Belonging just to one guild now that we are not there rubs me the wrong way. That place has a lot of good memories for me too but I don't need it to remember, Templarios is not here, respectfully, create your own memories. We are still active, by the way, just not in WoW, you might know this if you cared about us as a community.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I genuinely appreciate hearing it from someone who was also part of Templarios.

I think there may have been a misunderstanding about what we were trying to say. Our intention was never to "take over" Templarios or claim its history as our own. We have a great deal of respect for what the guild built.

When we mentioned purchasing the Guild House, it wasn't because we wanted to replace Templarios. Our concern was simply that, if the new system requires ownership, the house could eventually disappear or be completely changed by someone who has no connection to its history.

If there were a way for it to remain as a preserved community landmark, accessible to everyone, we would honestly be just as happy with that outcome. What matters most to us is that the place itself survives.

Some of us were once part of Templarios, others were friends of the guild, and we all have good memories there. We simply hoped that future players—and former Templarios members who might visit one day—could still recognize that place instead of seeing it disappear.

Whatever happens, our intention comes from respect, not from a desire to claim something that isn't ours.
