Luddite Challenge

Was thinking of a challenge to hit lvl 60 either with no training from trainers, or only rank 1 spells if you think that would be too much. Could reward a title along the lines of "Unskilled"

I've actually seen a fellow doing something similar where he only uses whatever is gained from levels and his talents. Its made for some interesting builds since hes building around improving his low level spells and survivability versus the traditional method.

A downside to that would be nobody would want to end up in a group with a Luddite player because they would be so far behind everyone else in contribution but with equal access to loot. I like the idea of a 'luddite' run though. Maybe instead of only your starting abilities you only get access to lvl 1 of your abilities, so you can fill out your bar but you'll still always be lagging behind in power.

Would probably also need to make it so you can only group with other Luddites tho since otherwise the challenge becomes trivial when abused and burdensome to the rest of the party when not.

I wouldn't be against a luddite not being willing to learn with others. Imposing a no exp while partied rule would be thematic.

That's not a luddite, that's an autodidact.
Luddites reject advancement, preferring how things used to be.
Autodidacts manage their own education on a subject and don't learn from others directly.

The Luddite would refuse to learn even on his own. He's got his spells and he thinks the new ones suck.
