Sharptalon not dropping Sharptalon's Claw

The patrolling hippogryph Sharptalon in Ashenvale is supposed to drop Sharptalon's Claw (a drop quest item) at 100% drop rate but after killing this mob 3-4 times it has not dropped yet. I submitted a bug report in game, but unsure if it went through because I'm still using the old turtle client and haven't updated yet. Apologies if this is a duplicate bug report. Thanks!
