Server locations

Hey,
I am in Australia and -needless to say perhaps- my ping in abhorrent most of the time.
Assuming that this is because I am physically quite far from the server(?).
Are there plans to open a server further down south?
I migrated from Turtle after it went down, and absolutely love everything else.
