Unlock Paladins for Horde and Shamans for Alliance

Hi everyone,
Since OctoWoW is a fully cross-faction server, players from both sides can already group up, guild up, and run dungeons together. Because the faction barrier is already gone, the classic class restrictions no longer make sense.
I propose that we allow
Horde Paladins and
Alliance Shamans.
Why this change makes sense:
- True faction freedom: We can finally play the faction and race we love without sacrificing our favorite class.
- Cross-faction balance: The server already allows both factions to play together, so separating these classes serves no mechanical purpose.
- More build diversity: Unlocking these combinations opens up fun new race and class aesthetics for the community.
- Better grouping: It increases the pool of available paladin blessings and shaman totems within cross-faction raiding and PvP teams.
Let us choose our faction based on lore, cities, and aesthetics rather than being forced into a choice by a class lock.
What does the rest of the community think about this?

I think doing some kind of shift long-term could be possible.
However, I prefer the idea of Shaman being Horde-only, and Druid being Alliance-only. While just like the Priest, Paladin could also be both factions.
But tilting the lore to support this and fine-tuning the storytelling sounds like a nightmare.

Yeah, I was just thinking since Undead can be priests using holy light as their power, why not undead paladins? Lorewise it would make some kind of sense. Holy is Holy if you know what I mean.

It's not. OctoWoW is a server conglomerate, and even its single servers are not "fully cross-faction".
Do what you like on HC - but we do not want Horde paladins or Alliance shamans on N'Zoth or Y'Shaarj.

Failing to grasp what this topic has to do with being binary or not, but I invite you to read any post about this in the old forum sections
Also maybe try to learn basic communication skills ^^ Toxocity suits (and helps) noone, really. If it really works well for you irl though, feel free to continue in this manner.

If octo aint a fully x-faction server I don't know what is. You are saying "we" as if you are speaking for the entire softcore player-base. Thanks for your input tho!
