Horde Equivalent to the Light of Elune
Hello dear Octu Wow team,
I’d like to suggest a Horde equivalent to the Light of Elune, especially since this could be a great addition for Hardcore and would also give the two factions a bit more balance.
Around level 25, the Horde could receive a small quest chain that rewards a unique one-time-use emergency item, similar in function to the Light of Elune.
The quest could involve an important Horde character such as Thrall, Sylvanas, or another major Horde figure, potentially with a short quest chain taking place in Undercity or another important Horde location.
The item would have the same basic characteristics as the Light of Elune:
One-time use
A powerful emergency ability
Primarily useful as a Hardcore survival tool
Obtained through a memorable quest rather than simply purchased
However, it should have a distinctly Horde identity.
My top three name ideas would be:
Warchief's Intervention
Unending Rage
FOR THE HORDE!
Other possible names:
Sylvanas' Unbreakable Will
Wrath of the Warchief
Warchief's Resolve
Unbroken Will of the Horde
The visual effect could also reflect the theme. For example, a Sylvanas/Undercity-themed version could briefly make the screen and surroundings appear dark and shadowy, while a more Orcish/Rage-themed version could create a red, enraged visual effect around the character.
The exact implementation could obviously be different, but I think having a Horde-specific equivalent would be a great addition.
It would give Horde players their own memorable Hardcore emergency item while also bringing a little more faction balance to the game.
And, most importantly, it could be tied to a fun little quest chain that makes the item feel like something your character actually earned and will remember.
