Good day, everyone! I’m facing a problem — I can’t change the font in the game. I’ve tried various methods, but nothing worked. Maybe someone knows a solution to the problem. When you download the client, there’s no Fonts folder in the root of the game folder; even if you create it and put fonts in there, they don’t get applied. The standard font is terrible — it looks stretched out. Through trial and error, I managed to change the font (for the chat and the quest journal), but the font displayed on the buttons in the menu or when entering the game in the login and password input fields doesn’t change at all — it remains ugly and extends beyond the edges of the buttons. How can I change it?

are you naming the fonts you drop inside the Fonts folder after the default fonts WoW uses?

What does it matter what I call them... The thing is, the font doesn’t change everywhere, only partially. How can I completely change it throughout the entire game? Maybe there’s some kind of add‑on or modification...

it matters what you call them because the game is looking for those file names to apply the fonts..

ARIALN.ttf, DAMAGE.ttf, FRIZQT__.ttf, MORPHEUS.ttf, SKURRI.ttf. In my opinion, it’s ARIALN.ttf that is responsible for the font that is displayed in the login and password fields.

So all you have to do is drop 4-5 copies of the font file you want to use in that folder and name them after those font names and then restart the game and all fonts will be changed

I understand what you're talking about, I've been thinking about it... But the problem is that initially, after downloading the game client, there was no Fonts folder in the root folder, I created it myself and put the fonts there. Look at their names in your folder, if you have such a folder.

Yes I also created the Fonts folder myself as it wasn't there

I dropped 4 copies of CabinBold.ttf into that folder and renamed them as below

ARIALN.ttf
FRIZQT__.ttf
MORPHEUS.ttf
SKURRI.ttf

Then restarted the game and all my fonts are now Cabin Bold

I have exactly the same thing as you, but why don’t all the fonts change, even after repeatedly restarting the game? The font that is displayed on the buttons and when entering the login and password remains unchanged... It seems that this is an unsolvable problem. All that’s left is to throw this whole idea of playing on this server in the trash. The thing is that this font is displayed in the descriptions of items as well—for example, where it indicates that an item belongs to a particular group, whether it’s chain mail, leather armor, or fabric. But this text isn’t displayed at all because of this crooked font…

I’ve looked into this issue. The thing is that the Russian localization of the client isn’t working correctly; if you switch to the English version, all the fonts change and everything is displayed correctly.
