Cannot update or launch game through OctoLauncher - Error: EPERM: operation not permitted, mkdir 'E:/' - Windows 10

Error: EPERM: operation not permitted, mkdir 'E:/'
verify your game data by clicking retry.
Stuck in an infinite loop of nothing - It just won't work. I've checked windows defender and nothing is going off there, have also added the launcher to allowed apps in my Avira security.
What gives? i've seen one or two other people mention this as well, but there doesn't seem to be any real solution to this.
