We need everyone to update their realmlist.wtf file to contain the following.

set realmlist "play.octowow.st"


If you use the launcher and have the latest 1.3.8 version this should be done for you automatically. If you are using the old realmlist you will no longer be able to connect.

This is not a permanent solution and is unlikely to fully defend against the DDoS attacks, but should help while we continue to wait on new hardware.

Hello) After changing my realmlist to play.octowow.st, I can't connect from Russia without a VPN. With a VPN it works normally.
Could you please check whether the new connection point/provider has any connectivity or routing issues with Russian ISPs? I also saw a couple of other players mentioning similar problems.
Maybe you've defeated the DDoS, but accidentally defeated Russian players too XD

I can confirm what the others are saying: I can't connect either—not even via VPN!

Couldn't play last night due to absolute instability.
Can't play tonight because you changed the realmlist sending my launcher into a meltdown causing multiple errors with the launcher and basically is now redownloading the entire game... 10/10!

Launcher was going fine until today.
New realmlist i think is a bit broken.....
Basically cant update the launcher at all cause continue to loop over and over and never download the Launcher Update to 1.3.8 .....

Could you at least tell what port(s) needed to communicate with play.octowow.st and game servers?

Cant connect to server.. from Russia with love

I'm able to connect to the server with old realmlist.wtf somehow. I don't launch the game via launcher.
