Does DDoS Affect Mob Loot / Quest Objectives?

Curious. Mobs stop dropping the quest objectives all of a sudden. In fact, when it happens, mobs have NO drops, not even vendor greys. I realize there is RNG involved, but it seems to happen mid-way after I get started. For example, kill mobX until you get 10 items. MobX 1,2,3, dropping items 90% of the time plus vendor trash. Then nothing. 10 kills in a row, nothing. I log as I am unable to complete quest objectives. Is this related to DDoS? Or am I missing something?
