I’m not sure what the reason behind the ban was. I was leveling using the GSE sequence addon along with a small addon I created to help cycle between mobs, mainly because controlling the game on a handheld console with limited buttons can be difficult.
Part of my setup relied on the “Interact with target” function. My intention was to reduce the number of inputs required on the handheld, rather than to run the character unattended. GSE was also being used through the sequence key rather than as an unattended program.
I understand that the custom addon may have appeared somewhat bot-like because it handled some of the targeting and cycling between mobs. However, I was present and actively playing, and I was replying to almost all messages. I’m not sure whether I may have missed a bot check or whether the automated-looking behavior itself triggered the ban.
I’ve been here since the closed beta and recently came back to playing after finding a more convenient way for me to level while watching shows or other content.
I also have never bought gold, used any gold selling services, or done anything involving professions or similar activities. My gameplay was basically just leveling and grinding mobs.
I’m therefore not sure whether the ban was related to GSE, the custom addon, or the way I was using the targeting/interaction functions. If possible, I would really appreciate clarification on exactly what behavior triggered the ban so I can understand the rule and avoid repeating it.
If this was considered problematic in any way, a simple warning would have been enough.
I’d appreciate it if you could review the ban and let me know the reason behind it.
Note: I was like 40% to level 60 so yeah
