Launcher Update Issue

Greetings.
Throughout the last couple of weeks I've played here the game has been updated a few times, but whenever that happens the launcher simply refuses to update the game to the new version and throws a "aria2c exited with code 1" error. It would notify me that an update is available, I click update, it immediately stops and suggests that I verify the game files, I click retry, update is available... rinse and repeat.
After searching the forum for a while I could only find topics related to other error codes, such as code 15 or code 18 which are apparently tied to UAC-related problems, but never found any mentions of error code 1. Every more or less significant update forces me to redownload the client manually - which takes hours due to the download speed being extremely low for some reason, less than 1 mb/s - instead of going through a minor launcher update that would've probably taken a few minutes. I've done it twice already and would rather not do it for the third time, to be honest.
So far I tried reinstalling the launcher itself, adding the folder to AV exceptions (although my AV itself doesn't complain about it), moving it away from AppData folder and even running the launcher as an administrator - but nothing seems to fix it. Has anyone else encountered anything like that? Have I missed any kind of an obvious solution?
06.10.26 Update: Solved it. Not sure what it was exactly but it seemed to have something to do with firewall.
