Was killed by what looks like a multiboxing PVP Griefer on Hardcore.

Player names "Lie" and "Truth"

Isnt PVP multiboxing illegal?


Careful Characters "Lie" and "Truth" is a HARDCORE multibox griefer that with one character does a dungeon run with you while pvp flagged (so that you flag yourself too so u can buff him) and then with the other character (highleverl) camps at the dungeons exit, waiting to kill you immediately when you come out

Even if these are two separate players, using separately factioned players to help locate others for PvP is ALSO forbidden. This should qualify as faction betrayal.

Do expect to have to wait out your pvp toggle after dungeons however. This can happen without people using faction betrayal to accomplish it as well.

I've been kill exactly like that by this mofo like a month ago on my Priest he took a 3 days ban

Although a permanent ban is tempting, I have issued a 7 day ban to all players involved in this conspiracy/griefing strategy.

We have also issued revives for those players affected as we view these as clear cut cases of intentional griefing.

On first "Truth" ban I did try understand what pvp I can do here. You told to read rules. So I did. Back then I was learning. Now I agree that was grief (I used bug when player randomly gets flagged using shout or auras). So I nomore do that. But why I second ban? That was players decision to enter pvp. They typed themself /pvp to help WM player in DM. After that they forgot turn off pvp so I used their mistake. Then I got banned. My conclusion: you cant kill non WM players even if they go /pvp? That cant be real. You cant ban people for others mistake. Or you just hate pvp players or me?
I never killed player more then 4 levels lower then me. But I understand forums are for justice warriors and you all would hate me anyway.

I think Im speaking for all three of us affected people here: we genuinely appreciate how this situation was handled. Obviously, getting our Hardcore characters killed through a deliberately set-up PvP grief like this was incredibly frustrating and when we made the tickets and forum post, we honestly didnt expect such fast and decisive response.

Kestrel and the team looked into what happened, took action against the players involved and restored our characters. Whatever frustration we had about the incident itself was completely outweighed by how well the server team responded to it. This response gave all three of us a lot of confidence in OctoWoW and in the people behind it.

So genuinely, thank you. You earned our gratitude and our trust.

Well, I absolutely agree that killing someone who type /pvp it's by rule. It's entirely the player’s own decision. It’s not a missclick, nor is it an auto-flag triggered by quest or bug. Forgot to turn it off? That, too, is solely on player. If it's was multiboxing, okay, temp ban is fine. But goes to dung with someone in warmode own decision. Especially if you war/pala who will get auto-on pvp due to shout and holy strike (which I reported). So it's some kind of meme: "I will turn pvp on cuz I'm in dung and you will get ban for it".

Now this ... being a healer in a dungeon. absoluteley my choice to /pvp. why not just let one dd die and risk the whole party's lifes.
If it's not against the rules to camp on a dungeon exit, then why the ban? dunno maybe everyone just hates you. Is that the Truth or a Lie?
And jeah. You right about forgetting to turn off pvp is a mistake. matter of fact. we unflagged ourselfs and another matter of fact. we were just not expericed enough to really care about pvp flag, since we never played pvp or wm.
I even stayed to check on Lie when our pala aggro'd some mobs while Lie was afk because you where allready waiting on your orc to kill us. Im terribly disgusted by you. You have 0 honnor and in my oppinion: you deserve a perm ban.
I was the firstone recreating my character. basicly right away. "my mistake, go back to work"
the fact that it was a setup, the fact that you even have the audacity to come here and complain. Just get off this community. The Octo/Turtle community is so incredibly nice. You setup a whole party to get farm some "honorable" kills. You no more than a burden to this community. Since you dont show any regrett and your post just states: you will try to do it again if it just means bending the rules how you like it. Hopefully the admins see that too.

Iv had healers not heal me in dungeons because I was WM. They just didn’t want to flag themselves. I thought it was rough but fair.

must be great to have people like this guy in the community that spread distrust towards players that wanna play the game with a challenge
to clearify: its not about the fact that we actively turned on pvp and missed to turn it off in time. its about the fact that this guy set up a trap and doesnt even react with any remorse about breaking the rules. basicly stating that even the ban doesnt teach anything to this individual. I dont want that in the hc community and i dont think i am alone with that.
