without the thrasher farm xD AH prices for elixirs have gone ... wild

Hey ... any idea to mitigate this side effect?
I understand that it was a decision made because RMT.
But having elixir of the mongoose at 4g a pop ... and all the other elixir prices, from my point of view it just moved the RMT money makers from DME to Alchemy.
Wouldn't market manipulators be worth investigating as well? I understand that it's a "free market" but a ruined economy can only lead to trouble, and market manipulators should be regulated xD that's my 2 cents.
Thanks for reading my rant >_>

Consumes are already at a ridiculous price, and BWL isent even out yet.
You can imagine what is going to happen in 2 weeks from now right?
I know its a free market but theres obviously something going on, elixir of the mongoose wasent even 4g when naxx was out on nord.
Price gouging much?? if you're a raid logger you can look at playing another server at this rate.

In the current state there's practically no reason to ever touch lasher farm again unless you're a start up. Please revert lashers back to it's previous drop chances.
I remember the times on Nord when mongoose reached 15g a pop, at this rate we're heading in that direction. The turtle team intentionally buffed lasher for that specific reason and it eventually fixed it.

In its current state we are either going to experience a drought or extreme levels of inflation compared to average consumable prices right now.
I voiced this concern months ago:

My guess is that people are stockpiling it right now in hopes to sell it for a profit when BWL releases, which I don’t think is going to happen at that price, the market will just get flooded at some point.
Investing in mats/consumes before a phase release has traditionally been one of the strongest gold sources in wow and more and more people are catching on to it. I think the current prices are a bubble, there is simply not enough gold around to sustain these prices and it‘s solely driven by investors.
As you said, if raid loggers won’t be able to afford them, who will? There isn’t enough RMT happening either
That being said, affordable consumes prices has always been a strong suit of turtle compared to official, so if unnerfing lashers helps with that, I am for it

Was lasher farm secretly nerfed?

This seems to be due to Plaguebloom selling for more than it typically does. Silversage being about 75s per isn't unusual. Plaguebloom also being that high is a bit odd. From my experiences, Plaguebloom is very easy to farm in quantity as is.
I feel that this is mostly just people buying and sitting on materials for the BWL launch. It could be people wanting to resell, sure, but there are also a lot of guilds buying materials so that they're prepared.
I also don't think a Mongoose being 3g20s as they are currently is that outrageous. In my opinion it actually says the economy is starting to recover. Yes, it costs more for your consumes, but that also means you are more able to go out and farm gold because there are more demand for items. It's a double edged blade, I personally choose to look at the positives.
But yes if you're strictly raid logging this would be rough, but, I don't really think the game should be designed around and balanced for raid logging?
I would be very hesitant to support kneejerk reactions regarding these things. It's not that hard to disrupt a market and spike prices short term, I wouldn't want to see long term decisions based off of that I guess. That said, from what I've seen of the devs this is something they'll be watching as we get closer to BWL launch and into the first few weeks of BWLs release.

Not secretly. I'd have to look for the exact patch, but Octo openly nerfed the herb drops some time ago (after Turtle had already nerfed the raw gold).

Flask of Supreme Powers are now 30G. Plus all the other elixirs --- it is getting super expensive to raid.
Either fix Lasher Farm, Fix the Spawn rate of Herbs, or Add boxes that you get for doing a Daily Dungeon like in Turtle... But I would prefer they fix Lasher Farm like Turtle Devs did to bring the prices of Herbs back down.

nerfing lashers is good for econemy so herbing outdoor actually has value, pls dont give us free money and herbs by buffing lashers.
