I fished about an hour (I'm fucking stubborn) and have exactly zero (0) oily blackmouths dropped. The total of 7 trhat I did manage to get was ONLY through Oily Blackmouth Schools - NOT normal fishing.

Is this a bug or what? The hell is with the ABYSMAL drop rate? Yet they sell for only 15s? At this drop rate they'd have to sell for 1G AT LEAST since they are impossible to get.

Where are you fishing at, friendo? I have a pretty good catch rate in Ratchet and the pond just South(?) of Tarren Mill.

I think there is a slight drop chance in some areas in open water, but I am wondering why you would bother trying to get them this way if you are specifically targeting a fish that has dedicated pools that are plentiful and easy to find in multiple areas.
