Interestingly... in Legion, part of the Paladin weapon quest involves fishing. Perhaps an homage?

After our interview I think I became a recluse working on the pesky demons involved in a certain Leaf quest.

I'm now the 3rd owner of Rhok'Delar on the server!!

Sometimes a good myth leads to an homage indeed! Maybe we mistook Ashbringer for a sword all these years when really it's a legendary fishing rod.
