I don't know how...

I don't know why...

I don't know under what pretense...

But some version of playable Classic+ Dalaran would be awesome

Idk, might be a terrible idea. Or the best idea ever....

Added in a later phase as part of lore? Bringing dungeons within it?

I'd say gives a lot of opportunity and could be something fun to explore in the Classic+ universe

A Zombi can dream...

I would love to visit Dalaran in some shape or form. It could be a fun crossfaction city or something with a couple of dungeons like you said. I would love that. It was so pretty in lich king.

Suggestion to this:

If one is exalted with the Dalaran faction then one should be able to enter the city.

but we need similar for the Horde: Frostwolf Clan... Bleeding Hollow Clan territory what only Horde could access..

Reijo I like the idea but exalted is a pain, maybe friendly would be better. But the only issue I see with that is that many horde quests require you to kill Dalaran members.

Really like the idea of one for horde too, though. Troll Capitol for the win-- I think that would be awesome. Only issue with that though is Trolls are pretty faction exclusive. Maybe a remake of a larger goblin capital similar to in Cata. But then they do have a neutral Booty Bay already.... Hmmm

Naga! Ogres! Pandaren!

Just saying..

I disagree with the idea of making a Classic WoW Dalaran cross-faction.

The conceit for making Dalaran a neutral party in WotLK was the scale of the threat posed by the Lich King and the Nexus War, and the members of the Horde were in the city as guests of the Sunreavers who were Blood Elves.

I also disagree with the idea of a rebuilt Dalaran. In WoW we got comfortable with the idea that cities could be rebuilt in relatively short order but Dalaran was made an explicit example of by Archimonde and the city was destroyed and located at the heart of Legion/Scourge territory for a good while. Classic+ is set somewhere between 4 and 5 years after the evens of Reign of Chaos. Even with magic that's not enough time to rebuild Dalaran to what it was and the same with Silvermoon. These ruins are testament to the great hubris of the Alliance.

I would rather Dalaran become a contested zone. It would make for an interesting battleground and there is an excellent excuse for a high level dungeon in the Dungeons of Dalaran as experienced during the Blood Elf campaign in Frozen Throne. It has potential for the Scourge, for ghostly Archmagi, for all of the most devilish tricks and traps of Dalaran, and the great vaults of monsters and mad magicians who earned the ire of the Kirin Tor.

There is also the rift at the heart of Dalaran which Kel'thuzad once used to summon Archimonde to Azeroth, a rift which was used by the Blood Elves and Naga in the same way that the Dark Portal's rift has been used, as a means to traverse/invade great distances through the nether. That rift is easily as dangerous as the Dark Portal itself.

With all of the fascinating and ruinous wonders accumulated in the ruins of Dalaran it would be a massive shame to waste that potential as Blizzard did, turning it into a big gaudy floating shopping centre which just sort of hovers around like a big cruise ship until it finally gets dashed onto the rocks by the feet genie.

Dalaran has a lot of potential for fascinating endgame content and Azeroth does not need a neutral city one zone south of Undercity.

Keeping true to the lore vision is the most important thing.

A really good idea...

The main thing would be to show these historical WC3 places in WoW in some way, it does not matter if they are mostly destroyed like Scholomance or Startholme... Dalaran could be serve also well as a good 5 man instance.

Like the Caverns of Time instances can bring you back in time for example and one can even replay some happenings in Dalaran, like the escape of Thrall, or in some expansion was the fall of Stratholme...

a big job but one could make many good things out of it.

I always wanted that bubble to be replaced with the actual city from WoTLK copy and pasted into the ground of Hilsbrad Foothils.
