Deleted character, remade within 1 minute, name not available

I deleted a character with a given name, remade character using same name. Took no longer than a minute and name suddenly not available. I did a test character, deleted, used same name, was available. Someone took my name within 1 minute lol? The name isn't common and I have never ran into anyone else using the name in any other games. I tried sending a tell to the name in game to see if a player snagged it, no player by that name was online. This a possible glitch? I used warmode and slow and steady as challenge on the new pvp server. Is there a file or folder I can delete to possibly free up the name? Thanks.
