Launcher Download Problem (EPERM: operation not permitted, rename)

Sorry for posting this in general, but I seemingly can't post in Support, so I wouldn't know where else to post this.

Every time the launcher tries to download a media file (.avi, .gif, .jpg, etc) this error stops download:

Error: EPERM: operation not permitted, rename 'path/to/file.jpg.part' -> 'path/to/jpg'
Verify your game data by clicking retry.

I've tried giving the launcher admin permissions, and the error still persists.
I've also tried renaming a ton of them, and while I was able to download most of the client (I'm only a few MBs away), with every jpg file being about 10-50KB big I could be here for a long time.

Any known fixes for this?

Update: I slammed a pepsi and a can of pringles and got to renaming. I'd say I had to rename between 40-50 files and re-running the update.
Still, please look into it devs.

See you in game!

On first install, running in admin mode did the trick for me

Opened patcher settings and made sure location was set to D:\.octolauncher-tmp and the patcher actually downloaded and patched all the files. My issues now is when I click the green play button it acts like it wants to start but then turns back green and nothing happens. Tried launching from the WoW.exe in the folder as well and nothing. Any ideals?
