They still call our standard realms "PvP," but let's take a look at the Vanilla honor window. What do we see there? A "Dishonorable Kill" stat that can only be increased by killing so-called civilian NPCs. In reality, Blizzard stripped out the MMO "PK" (Player Killer) concept to make the game more casual and avoid alienating new players.

It’s time to make PvP hardcore again! We want a Free-for-All WarMode for PvP server outside of inn zones; killing a player from your own faction should result in an honor penalty, a loss of reputation with the victim's faction (race), and a Dishonorable Kill point.

For those criminals who have come a long way to become the most dangerous outlaws—wanted by both their own kind and their enemies—so-called "illegal" gear sets will become available; while this gear drops upon death, it grants unique abilities found nowhere else!

Guards across Azeroth need to earn their keep! Guards must stay on the alert! Now you can toggle War Mode from the reputation menu—even with your own faction! To balance this, killing a member of the opposing faction while War Mode is active grants 1 reputation point, based on the following pairings: Human–Orc, Dwarf–Tauren, High Elf–Troll, Gnome–Goblin, and Night Elf–Undead.

Your suggestion is very much not in this spirit.

And for the record I'm neither boring nor your buddy, though I could become the latter : )

fine your not my buddie but youre boring AF, why can't i kill my own faction player if hes a jerk? its 2026 already and its vanilla PLUS. PLUS. understand? Warmode on PvP realm makes no sense, but it should!

most normies cant handle getting ganked, it short circuits their brain

I made posts back on turtle asking for a system where you can lose reputation with your alliance and eventually become outcasted to where you now are kos by your faction guards: locking you into neutral zones and allowing you to kill and be killed by all players. It was a big system I advocated for with the addition to language overhaul allowing anyone to learn other races languages and even gain rep and become friendly with the opposite faction in return losing rep with your faction. So through work you could make a renegade Tauren that has lost honor with the Horde but gained respect amongst the alliance etc.

I actually really like this idea for the PvP realm, with two caveats. (1) It's opt-in for both parties, and (2) killing own faction in self-defence doesn't result in penalty.
