This file records known upstream sources, historical licensing, compatibility references and contributor provenance for LevelRange-Octo.

Existing source comments, Git history, changelogs and credits remain part of the provenance trail.

Original LevelRange

The source identifies the original author as:

The original source contains the following explicit license grant:

An unlimited license to use, reproduce and copy this work is granted, on the condition that the licensee accepts all responsibility and liability for any damage that may arise from the use of this AddOn.

A preserved copy of this historical notice is stored in:

• LICENSES/LevelRange-Original-License.txt

The repository root LICENSE explains the scope of that historical grant and the treatment of later contributions.

Turtle WoW fork chain

FlightMap compatibility

The original LevelRange source contains the credit:

• "Thanks to Dhask for allowing the use of his FlightMap."

LevelRange includes compatibility behavior for FlightMap tooltip positioning.

This notice preserves that historical permission/credit. FlightMap itself is not bundled as a dependency by LevelRange-Octo, and compatibility does not imply current affiliation or endorsement.

Turtle WoW and OctoWoW content

LevelRange-Turtle introduced and maintained zone, dungeon and raid information for Turtle WoW-compatible environments.

LevelRange-Octo adds and updates content for OctoWoW, including additional zones, dungeons and raids.

Names, compatibility references and gameplay information are used to identify supported game/server content. Their use does not imply affiliation, endorsement, partnership or ownership.

No bundled binary or media assets

At the time of this audit, LevelRange-Octo contains Lua/XML/text data only. There are no bundled BLP, TGA, audio, executable or DLL assets requiring a separate binary/media provenance manifest.

Project identity and trademarks

Canonical maintained fork:

World of Warcraft, Warcraft, Blizzard Entertainment and associated names, marks, artwork and game assets remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Preservation rule

Do not remove historical author credits, the original license grant, FlightMap credit, changelog attribution or fork provenance merely because the addon is later modified.

When inherited material is replaced or substantially rewritten, update the provenance record rather than erasing the historical chain.
