Letter and punctuation keys were named by their US position, so on AZERTY the key labelled Z bound as W, and Ctrl+A sat on the key labelled Q.
1.12.1 on Windows names a key from the VK its layout produced. `VK_A`–`VK_Z` and digits are named as themselves, and other keys by `MapVirtualKeyA` (`0x42da39`); a key with no character is dropped (`0x42da49`). The EditBox's Ctrl chords switch on that same name (`0x77b1fb`). The Mac client names keys by `KeyTranslate`.
Now:
- Windows takes the same path through `MapVirtualKeyExW`.
- The Mac names keys through the current layout, or the ASCII-capable layout it pairs with.
- Linux follows one documented rule.
- Bindings, Key Bindings capture and Ctrl/Cmd+A/C/X/V all follow the layout.
- A character above U+00FF names its key, as a deviation.
Tests cover AZERTY, Hebrew, Greek, Lithuanian, Turkish, Bulgarian, Hungarian and Dvorak names, layout switches and chords.
