Khoni's Warrior Guide

This is a BIG compilation of information (and opinion) made by some of the more active raiders back on Turtle, primarily written by Khoni: https://rentry.co/e3i565dk

It's for rather early 1.18, so it's not "fully complete with everything in the whole game tested" as it's missing a good chunk of ...

The Warrior DPS Simulator

This is the 1.18 warrior DPS simulator: https://jrc13245.github.io/WarriorSim-TurtleWoW/turtle.html

Note: I did not make this, I do not maintain it. I am not a coder. I have contributed like 1 or 2 items to the sim years ago but it was a headache for me to do it. if something is broken, I cannot ...

Re: GM Malpractice, The Hand of Ragnaros, and Meatgrinder

After some thought, I think that at least a 1 month ban after the 7-day is in order, if the staff feel a perma is a bit harsh.

Reasoning:
He wanted to cheat (at least, since Golemagg does not drop an ingot each time) 5 weeks of raiding. So he should be banned for 5 weeks. The same amount of time as ...

Re: GM Malpractice, The Hand of Ragnaros, and Meatgrinder

I agree that a 7-day ban for Meatgrinder is a bit weak for this.
Yes removing not just the generated items + the legitimately ground-out components is more of a punishment than it seems at first glance, but I think the fact that he knowingly and intentionally tried to cheat, lied, and showed further ...

Re: Restore Gnome Englargement Balm

I have a new theory as to why Turtle removed it, and I'm hoping Octo can take a different path.

Namely, that on Turtle, certain Large Mounts like the spider tank were prevented from being used in SW, due to the balm's effect making them disproportionately large.

However, as time went on, Turtle ...

TurtleRP (Most up-to-date version)

https://github.com/OldManAlpha/TurtleRP

This is the most-updated version of TurtleRP that I'm aware of.
It's claimed to have fixed some memory issues and incorporated some small QOL features like a checkbox to mark the profile you make as nsfw and a toggle to hide/show ones marked as such ("hide ...

Re: Remove Hyjal Dream Shard equipment and refund players

This is mostly an issue with mobs giving the mats to craft them outside of Emerald Sanctum when they shouldn't be.

It might be just an issue with Dreamsteel. On release Dreamsteel required a dream scale as a reagent that locked it out. But I think I remember there might have been a change to ...

Revert Auction House Changes

With the recent 1.18 patch (as of the day I'm posting this) the Auction House limit was clamped down, and fees were enabled.

On Turtle I believe this was originally done as one of their attempts to combat gold inflation, and to deal with the massive surge in population they had. They later ...

Restore Gnome Englargement Balm

Removing the Gnome Enlargement Balm was one of the negative changes that turtle implemented, as it was in-game for quite some time. My guess is that it seemed to be part of their move to try to "clean up" some of the more-goofy/buggy things available in light of their cleaner look towards the end ...

Remove Hyjal Dream Shard equipment and refund players

Similar to the discussions on PvP gear, the Mount Hyjal Dream Shard craftables (Dreamsteel in particular) are of an ilvl to be in parity with BWL gear. This is disruptive to the game in the current progression, as its worse than some of the Cenarion, AQ20 or ZG gear that was added as "catchup" by ...
