Thanks I did that by I had to write "python3 update.py" and then it worked. I was able to update the game successfully.

A discord poster created the linked python script. Just drop it in your installation directory and run it from the terminal. I do recommend commenting out line 403, so your exe is not overwritten.

This is a life saver for me. Also on Linux. I updated the launcher under wine, now when I start the launcher I see nothing but a white, blank, window. Glad there is another way to update. (And if the standard way of updating by the client itself would work, I'd be even happier!)

Are we talking about lore friendliness here? Because Forsaken Priest is not lore friendly, Blizzard just added it so more Horde races can have a Priest class, otherwise it would be only the Troll. Night Elf priest is also another one that is not lore friendly as the Night Elves in the old lore ...

Warcraft 2 and 3 had Goblin units in the Horde baseline, the Alliance didnt.

You are looking at the Goblins as a monolith while the Player Goblins are from a Trade House/Cartel that is associated with the Horde.
