I still don't understand: is character transfer only available for 60 lvl or if you die? And what does it mean - not an instant transfer? Will it be necessary to do something to transfer the dead character?

"We feel that making the decision to leave the Hardcore realm should not be a default one. We are also wary of people treating the HC realm as the default for new characters when they have no real desire to play the game in that way. This solves both of these issues by requiring a time investment, a journey really, to the other realm. We hope to in the future add more content to flesh out this journey in a more interesting way, but for now that journey is simply a ghost walk all the way to the Dark Portal. Upon entering the portal your character will be seamlessly migrated to the other realm."

From what I understood you can still get the immortal title on the normal realm by dying after going inferno mode and transferring?

Correct me if I'm wrong
I believe as it stands now you get the title when you ding 60 on the hardcore realm, but would retain it when moving. Our custom titles that we are implementing for sub lvl 60 hardcore toons will be given upon death though.
The Hardcore realm makes you go inferno by default right? Otherwise it would make no sense cause there would be lvl 60s that can die on the server... on turtle it was optional since it was mixed server...

But now I have to ask, in order to transfer to the normal realm at 60, you still have to die then? Or could you just walk to the Dark Portal alive at 60? ahah

Both ways sounds fun, having to suicide at 60 to transfer is hilarious and can lead to some funny interactions

Also I liked that you guys made the char name pool shared between Hardcore and Normal, fixes the issue of the transfer making you lose your name.

It is correct that all players who ding lvl 60 on the hardcore realm currently are granted the immortal title and mount, and are also essentially "forced to go inferno". It is our intention to frame this more as the default for hardcore players rather than an optional extra challenge.

To get the immortal title on the Normal realm you need to acquire it on the hardcore realm, then die, then go through the dark portal. We have talked about updating the title on the Hardcore realms to be "Inferno" and then switching it to "Immortal" when transferring to be more accurate, but it is not a high priority at the moment.

If you wanted to walk to the dark portal alive and die next to the portal, you can always visit our good friend kazzak! However you do need to be a ghost to transfer to the normal realm.

Hi,
I really enjoyed the PvP server combined with the added challenge of Hardcore, especially the constant tension and adrenaline of sneaking around to stay alive. I was wondering whether this could be introduced as an official challenge mode.
Your idea of granting an additional “Inferno” title when a Hardcore character dies and transitions would fit this concept extremely well.

The challenge could work similarly to how Hardcore PvP functioned before: Hardcore + PvP (War Mode enabled, but only outside starting areas). Completing this challenge would still reward the Immortal title.
Like leveling on Hardcore while playing on a PvP server qualify you for Immortal before on Telabim.

Some minor refinements would be needed on the Horde side to prevent players from farming their way to level 60 in starter zones—for example, by repeatedly killing Argent Dawn NPCs (NPC in QUelthalas give no XP already i assume).
Overall, I think this would be a very exciting and rewarding challenge with only small balance adjustments. The hide‑and‑seek aspect—even versus level 60—was incredibly unique, and achieving 100% leveling with friends under that constant threat was a huge adrenaline rush.

We actually just added that in! On the hardcore server, if you level with the warmode challenge on you will acquire unique titles.
