Grace Period for Disconnects/Crashes in Battlegrounds

Other than acting like 5 year olds constantly making asinine replies, making fools of yourselves and publicly putting on a clown act —risking bans for being toxic trolls—what exactly are you achieving here?

+1 for grace period, it not fun to wait up to 30 minutes to finally join a BG and then crash in the first 2 minutes just to wait another 1h to get to play again...

This is very needed. Your game can crash midgame or your PC can crash and then you can't reconnect and you get a deserter even if you try to connect as fast as you can. It would help immensely.

I generally agree with suggestion's intention but I don't think the proposed solution is precise (that's why Defiant thought this could be abused). There is a lot of misunderstanding on this topic.

First of all, did OP mean MANUAL rejoin after BG? For example if you disconnect during WSG, you reconnect and you are again in Azeroth and game gives you possibility to instantly requeue this WSG. If so, it's not good solution because it requires more scripting than really needed to achieve similar effect, so better solution exists.
Also, this is why Defiant had some doubts about potential abuse but OP stated it would only to allow to rejoin that specific instance of BG.

However, if OP meant that your character can stay longer within BG after disconnect, then the fix should be easy - just make this period longer. This mechanic already exists but is very very short (30 seconds I think). Doubling this amount of time is the best fix.

There is also another alternative fix that could be temporarily implemented due to server instability in the recent days. That is - lower time on deserter debuff from 15 minutes to 10 minutes. It wouldn't directly fix the problem but it would make the disconnects in BGs less painful.

Until ddos thing will end, deserter debuff shall be simply off.
