I hope we get a response from Kestrel by tomorrow, because there is a certain amount of transparency the community expects, and I understand that whatever is going on in the background is difficult and stressful, but the community NEEDS to hear something once in a while to keep them motivated, even if it is just another "parts wont be here for atleast 1 week" post. every. post. matters. even if it adds no new information, we look up to the big sibling in this trying time, and we need our big sibling (Kestrel) to comfort us. this isnt guesswork, its psychology, please update your community soon Kestrel <3 much love I appreciate the project but your community needs to hear from you, I can feel the strain from just 2 days of no feedback <3

Yeah they hit right in the middle of peak EU times. The DDOS only typically lasts eight hours but if those are the only eight hours you can ever get on I'm sure it would feel like it's 24/7.

Im sorry you feel that way,
but no, im not "astroturfing" negativity, I am presenting my observation with Kestrel, I can feel the strain in the community, that is completely my opinion and I may very well be the only person who feels that way, and I made this post to feel comfortable knowing I did my best to announce my concerns, I am an active member of the discord aswell and I am not trying to spread negativity, I see this is a place to communicate with the owner of Octowow, Kestrel, and I want my voice to be heard. <3 thank you for your time

My guess is that he's still waiting to hear something from FlokiNET regarding the parts shipment. I agree that any communication from leadership would help with community morale.

I think the team is doing a great job and keeping us updated as much as they can. I can't imagine this being their full time paying job for them (or perhaps it is), and they also need to sleep. We can't expect them to give us 8-12hourly updates, they will when they have something they need to share. Also, the upmost importance is keeping this server and the teams anonymity, so we all have a place to play our favorite game.

The team has my 100% support and my patience through these difficult times. I hope you do too.

They upped it to 14+ hours last week because we were supposed to be getting a new server on Monday. It starts at 11am GMT and ends some time after midnight now.

Is there any current gathering of the community outside the game and the forums? I didn't know how much we needed the discord community until we lost it, and now I feel so disconnected from OctoWoW, even when playing it.
