That roadmap is generated by claude bro. And by the time we even get to the later raids let alone new content World of Starcraft will almost be out  assuming it makes it to the end of THIS year, which seems more and more unlikely.

I've come to terms with the fact that TurtleWoW was lightning a bottle. Huge donation pool to draw from, full sized development team... you aren't going to get that in a pserver ever again. I feel like this server made some good fixes but mostly puzzling or unfun ones... gimping people's abilities to level quickly or farm mats on a server that probably won't make it to November was some real 5D chess. Hey at least Levia and the beta testers got to have fun right?

Octo's a fun little time waster, but if you're grinding for R14 or gearing up for BWL... I've got a bridge in Redridge to sell you.

Yes, that's why I said it's going go take time for them to show us New Content.
it definitely is going to take time. What people who played Turtle in 17.2 or 18.0 or even 18.1 forget is it took time for Turtle to make that new content. Turtle's first 2 or so years of existence was basically stock vanilla with cut content left over in the files re-enabled. Even stuff like BM, a vanilla map buried in the list of maps, took them time to make, and even then the first iteration was supposedly stupidly difficult. To the point they shuttered the dungeon to overhaul it.

The first new bits of content Octo pushes out (if it does), will be rough. It'll be Tirisfall Highlands and Hawk's Vigil. very much an A for effort, C in the execution.

Fond memories of trying to figure out how to quest in Tirisfal Highlands, when I finally did that one quest with the necromancer was a real ballbuster. Although it kinda goes in hand with classic questing, tough, easy with people.

my guy it took TUrtle like into it's 4th year of existence before we saw anything new. I don't mean just more quests, I mean new shit like Hawk's Vigil and Tirisfal Uplands. If you only started playing Turtle near the tail end, you are in for a rude awakening on the content front
The OP makes perfectly good points. Why are we doing polls on achievements and RMT bans having an expiration date (lmao) when core features that existed in the last build of Turtle are still non-existent or broken? Pathing, one of the single most important functions of the server's scripting, is still abysmally bad. The server has also been unplayable for weeks and we're already seeing feature creep.

We're also getting perpetual intermittent updates on the progress of the server hardware and it took 3 whole days just to have the login issues acknowledged at all.

Criticism ≠ hate. I don't know why that's so hard for people to understand and why this turns into a toxic shitfest between dickriders and doomers.

I agree with patch notes part. When DDOS started, there were almost no new patch notes. As if that halted whole development ... which is odd because people behind fixing bugs shouldn't be the same people who work on DDOS protection. That leads me to believe whole server is runned by only 2 people: Kestrel and Archer. It's crazy if you compare it to Turtle WoW which had dozens (or even hundreds?) of contributors.
The devil is in the detail.

it does if the guys fixing bugs are also on the hook for trying to patch up their network. you drop the priority of on bugfixes, because if the server is dead. bugs won't matter.

The money is on their focus on stability FIRST. then ocne they can get it going, return to bugfixes
