It won't be long before the same thing happens here; people are at their limit. They’ll simply leave for a place where the game runs stably.Ziggler wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2026 3:02 pm Well our DDOSERS are having a really bad time on their empty realm, they are now sub 200 ppl:

What’s the point if they don’t fix the server stability issues? Are we supposed to gather for a raid and reschedule it—only now twice a week instead of once?Ziggler wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2026 3:39 pm its true that many MC lockouts were lost in the past month ....
Octo should MC available 2 x a week for the next month to adjust for the loss of lockouts
You must not forget that Octo cannot go through the usual companies like CloudFlare etc. who would solve this kinda problem within a few hours or days. In order to maintain anonymity they have to go through FlokiNet, who can basically dictate terms to them. Their business has been around for a while, hosting whistleblower stories etc., but they have absolutely no experience with hosting a WoW-server.Sqweellex wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2026 3:36 pm You’ve had a month to solve the problem. A whole month. How much longer are we expected to wait and put up with this? In that time, countless raids have been rescheduled or have failed completely—not to mention the battlegrounds, which are unplayable. Sure, there are hardly any crashes now, but if you try to log back into your character—whether manually or after a crash—it takes about 50 attempts. Right now, I’ve entered my login and password a hundred times and still can't get onto the server.
Can you give us a specific timeframe for when this will be resolved? No fairy tales about ISPs or technical nuances. Just tell us straight: "We need a day, a week, or a month, and then everything will work fine without issues." Like, "We’ll have it all fixed by [date]."
Or is this going to be the new normal? If so, just say it: "We can't solve the DDoS issue." No empty promises about "trying" or "doing our best." Just give it to us straight—either you'll fix it by a certain time, or you won't fix it at all.
Thanks for your time.
How did the buggy, poorly functioning Kronos manage to resolve the DDoS issue at launch within minutes—without using standard hosting providers, but instead relying on some obscure Czech provider?Schwarzschild wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2026 3:44 pmYou must not forget that Octo cannot go through the usual companies like CloudFlare etc. who would solve this kinda problem within a few hours or days. FlokiNet has to learn and they move at a glacial pace because they simply can as their costumers do not have many alternative choices. Kestrel said there is no communicating with them at all during the weekend, and even during the week they sometimes have to wait for considerable time spans for FlokiNet to respond to Octo's inquiries.Sqweellex wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2026 3:36 pm You’ve had a month to solve the problem. dafuq should I know. ask them. but i am virtually certain that kronos did not suffer such concerted, persistent, extensive attack as octo has been. afaik these kinda DDoS attacks are unprecedented for ANY p-server.Sqweellex wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2026 3:47 pmHow did the buggy, poorly functioning Kronos manage to resolve the DDoS issue at launch within minutes—without using standard hosting providers, but instead relying on some obscure Czech provider?Schwarzschild wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2026 3:44 pmYou must not forget that Octo cannot go through the usual companies like CloudFlare etc. who would solve this kinda problem within a few hours or days.
