Buddy, if you "hope" to get from 40 - 60 in a month and a half I'm genuinely sorry but the game should not be designed or scheduled around you. You will always be behind the curve so to speak. To be clear I also don't think the game should be designed around the people that play the game religiously either-- but we're kind of opposites ends of the spectrum. I understand that I play the game "too much", and I don't expect to be catered to, because again if I was to ask for what I actually want it would be for all content to be released and people can just progress at whatever pace they're able to progress at because that's how Nord was when I showed up and it was great fun. My suggestion was from my perspective a middle road. It still gives players months to catch up, but doesn't draw out the road map so long that people just get bored and quit. I think that factor is even more important now with WoW Forever releasing.

What is it with Internet discourse these days. Why does everyone need to be a clown?

Asking to not be arbitrarily time gated is not the same thing as asking for hand outs.

I think guilds should be considered more though. Most guilds are from Nord / Amber and we've all been going through so much nonsense over the past year. We've all struggled, regardless of our size. Small or large. It's extremely hard for us to get back to normal, the DDOS and WoW Forever were two more hits that we've taken in a long line of set backs.

We just want to get back to a two or three day raid schedule and knowing that won't be possible for another six months is very discouraging tbh. I'm personally very burned out of recruiting, getting to a decent size, then losing people to things that are out of my control or the control of the server. First it was Ambershire, then the Lawsuit, then the shutdown, then we had months of limbo because we couldn't decide where to go as a guild. We end up here, still trying to recruit, then the DDOS hits, now WoW Forever releases. Each one of those things caused us ( and every other guild ) to lose players. All of that was completely out of our control or the control of the servers we were on.

This is something the server has control over that could directly benefit every struggling guild out there. The only reason not to do it is to boost the ego of people like Fany88 who need a month and a half to get from 40 to 60. That's not a good reason to harm the entire server.

Nothing was ever released all at once on TWoW. Not on any realm. There's no basis for doing so now.

Well then it's a good thing there isn't a single person in this entire forum thread actually asking for that to happen.

My observation, as a Nordanaar player from Turtle, is that a large portion of the current Octo playerbase came from Ambershire. From talking to these people, a majority barely got into BWL for the first time before Turtle closed, and many never stepped foot in a raid past that.

No offense to the Ambershire folk, but the last thing I want to do is jump into accelerated Naxx/K40 releases with players who have barely experienced the reworked BWL. I am quite happy for the server to progress slowly so everyone can learn the raids.

I think it comes down to the devs have more important things to do/ they might not have the completed files so they might have to rebuild some parts of the raid(s).

with the ddos attacks they are doing ALOT behind the scenes im sure, on top of that they are trying their hardest to stay anonymous, which means they cant take the easy route to alot of things. what octo team is doing hasnt really been done before, atleast that im aware of, please let me know if im wrong.
but since this is very un-treaded territory, everything will take sooo much more time to complete.

Its also hard for the dev team to make promises, because of their anonymity, there will be bumps in the road that they will need to figure out, ON TOP of the problems that already come up from doing dev work.
im not too familiar with coding (I took 1 programming class in school and got a C) but I do know its very complicated to program for a game with any amount of experience, especially when you have even more on your plate because of remaining anonymous.

for them to revive Twow was already a blessing, and I think all we can do is have the patience to wait for what comes next.
I seriously want dwarves to get plainsrunning

100% agree. If the slow roadmap is due to having to fix bugs in the raids and dealing with more important stuff like the DDOS, thats one thing. But if its just due to it being slow for the sake of it, I think that's not the best move. The wait from BWL to AQ (November 5 to March 18, not even counting the war effort which will take longer) especially is gonna be insanely boring I imagine, when many guilds are already familiar with the content. And ES is so short. And I agree with your point where releasing raids a bit faster doesn't mean more casual guilds can't go at their own pace if they so choose.

If I remember correctly, the previous roadmap was a lot faster, maybe even too fast for some. But thats a lot better than too slow. I think at this pace even somewhat casual guilds will get bored. I think a good middle ground could be achieved.

Yeah I also support that-- I want a faster road map if it's possible but if there's good reasons to delay it I can understand that.
