What is the Policy for DDOS death in HC?

I understand that world chat can be a treasure trove of misinformation so I am asking the question here. It would be nice to have a written policy on HC deaths due to DDOS. Was on today with my level 11 rogue and in the middle of sneaking up on a leper gnome. Was disconnected, and when I reconnected I was a ghost.

Is there an appeal process or am I just going to have to accept it and begin the walk of shame?

I've seen multiple times that HC deaths during DDoS are reverted. Check one of the posts in the announcements section.
But on the other hand lvl 11 isn't too much work. I know it sucks losing any amount of time, but you can get back to that in like two hours or so. So just go agane.

Start another character and write a /gm ticket saying your character died during a ddos event. They will pass the name off to the devs and maybe they agree and rez you. Make sure you move your ghost to a safe spot before.

Thank-you Mario and Bizz for your replies. I very much appreciate the response. I think I shall eschew HC and take the walk of shame. I know it is odd, but I have rather developed an attachment to the character, and will continue his adventures in the normal realm.

Don't rush—leave that character alone for now. He might be alive the next time you log in; they get resurrected periodically.

Fb- you are a genius! Thank-you. I did log in today and he was alive! Right next to his death marker... Of course when I logged in it was within aggro distance of three leper gnomes. Ran back to Brewnell Village with them hot on my tail. Once I got in the village though, they dejectedly turned around and wandered back to their home.

Really want to thank the developers and whoever else gave me this second life. The DDOS boss is tough!
