Appearence change/Barber shop question

Hello,

Can you only change your appearance via the donation shop menu thing as of right now?
I apologize if this has been asked before or explained somewhere (or if this forum isn't the place to ask this). I'm very, very new to WoW and a little mentally deficient honestly, so it's a little hard to make sense of things.

Turtle Wow only managed to release the full barber shop for alliance before it ended, it was a late addition and something i'm sure they would have added to horde as well if they had time.

Maybe Octowow will manage that feat in time but i don't think it's something thats easy peasy or Turtle would have done it sooner.

Anyway! Alliance can use it to change hairstyles and colors. Beyond that you would need to use the donation option.
I do believe horde has the ability to change hair color but not hairstyles.

In standard vanilla barber shops was not a thing at all, it was not before the game reached its 2nd major expansion it became a reality. So it's fairly impressive that Turtle managed to add it to an old client like 1.12.
Sad that they didn't get time to release the full version for both factions but for now that is what it is.

I think even if we allowed the more informal method of using a token, then logging out and reusing the character creator would be nice as a holdover until a barber shop was implemented in game.

Sorry for the late reply, and thank you for the clarification! Honestly, I think I'll be perfectly content with a simple hair color change for now. Where can I find the Alliance barber? I assume it's in the capital, Stormwind?

I didn't really expect to get so into it, so I didn't obsess over making the "perfect" character as much as I normally do (even though you have very few options here).

Anyways, I'm absolutely HOOKED now and I can't get enough! If this is what peak WoW was like, then I understand why so many people praised it...

I would be very happy to see a horde barber shop functioning. Somehow my trolls hairstyle changed a few weeks ago from the pony tail to the long braid and i don't really want to start over to get the hairstyle i originally picked back
