Since this is my first time playing Rogue, I thought it might be useful to share how the current poison system feels from the perspective of a first time Rogue player.

Honestly, I find it pretty frustrating:

• While leveling, I mostly ignored Elementals because they were immune to the poison I had available.
• When I finally unlocked a poison that worked on them, I was happy at first, but then realized it meant constantly swapping poisons depending on the enemy type.
• In dungeons, especially ones with a mix of Humanoids, Undead and Elementals, I’m constantly checking whether I have the right poison equipped.

It’s distracting and honestly takes a lot of the fun out of playing the class.

A simple solution without a complet rework of assassination could be "apply poison" instant cast. Or if you want to be tedious a really shot cast of 0.2-0.3s so you have to stand to apply poison and loose time and therefore dps anyway. Just less tedious. Making rogue a bit faster while usefull in many cases don't save you from chasing the raid after changing the poison. And honestly chasing the raid all the time is very tedious.

This whole swapping business is such a buzzkill, and honestly, you were robbed of the most fun part of levelling rogue. Pre 1.18.1, when Dissolvent could be used against any mob type, you used to become a killing machine at 52 that would slice through any mob easily until 60. I used to level rogue alts just to have that experience.

Holy cannoli, Rogue Poisons are Terrible.
I have thought through this some and would like to pose some directions to look toward.

Firstly, having some things immune to some poisons isn't a totally bad thing. Take MC for example you have elementals and beast mobs so you need 2 different poisons which can be solved by placing one of each poison on just 1 weapon. Yes it gimps damage some on trash but you can still be effective. Having to apply new poisons while everyone else is buffing up for a boss shouldn't be a big deal. However, if its a smaller scale than MC like a dungeon or k10 you do need to be putting out the dps so you're constantly reapplying another poison on top of the one you just applied, thus why I have to carry so many stacks of different poisons. We just go through them so fast having to constantly reapply a new one over top of the old.

What I find MOST wrong with poisons is that OUR MAIN DAMAGE poison is 30min. This needs to immediately be changed to 60 min. I have to carry 2 full stacks of instant poison to a raid because of how fast they wear off and then another stack of dissolvent. How many inventory slots would be dedicated to poisons if I wanted to really be effective and carry a stack of all the useful ones? Probably about 6 slots to utilize the other niche poisons. Thats a lot of space for something my class cant work without.

Something I would like to see would be rogue poison quests where you end up maybe getting poison jars or poison weapon sheaths and from those you can mix all your other poisons from 2-3 jars or sheaths containing poison you slip your weapon into to coat.
Maybe have pve and pvp poisons. Like poisons that only work on other players for ease of balancing pvp/pve damage if that was an issue.

TLDR. I think what would improve the poisons would be longer lasting, easier/faster to apply and take up less space while being able to functionally use all the different types of poisons.
