Connecting Error

[Byzantine1]

Connecting screen continues to be a problem. The game periodically gets stuck on "connecting" for hours. There is no solution. I and my family are playing on Linux and we noticed that our windows laptop will sometimes immediately log in, whereas our SteamOS proton wrapped version will be stuck on "connecting." Nothing fixes the problem except abandoning the game and hoping that we can login in a few hours.

Adding to the issue. I travel for work and I do not recognize the IP that is whitelisted on my account page.

This is a very janky, very temporary fix for Linux players. It might work for you, too.
