Hi,
since a few days I have not managed to login anymore.
System:
- Linux (cachyOS)
- Linux Launcher for OctoWoW
- starting game via Steam - Proton Experimental (vanillafixes.exe)
- also via launcher, which worked in the past
I tried the following things:
- switching between play.octowow.st and normal.octowow.st (reamlist.wtf and config.wtf matched of course)
- VPN usage with different locations (Proton-paid -- Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Romania)
- WDB folder deleted before every try
- flushDNS via console before very try
- several tries with hardcoded host entries as suggested in Fan Discord plus all of the above
- Different kernels for cachyOS, including vanilla-linux and arch-linux plus all of the above
With the help of a guildie with IT as profession and AI i have excluded many error-sources -- it all points to OctoWoW's internal DDOS protection system.
I don't know what else i can do, while most of my guild-colleagues don't have any issues at all for about 2 weeks now with login - even at primetime.
I cannot even login in the morning EU time anymore.
2 other guild-members of mine do have the same issue - one of them is also whitelisted with his IP; i'm not.
OctoTeam, Please help! I don't wanna play "Forever" ^^
