Upgrade Game Client?

Is there any chance that Octo-WoW's game client be upgraded to 2.4.3 (TBC) or 3.3.5 (WotLK)?

This may sound silly, but I really just want my Mage's Arcane Missiles animation
to not be so wonky and buggy looking most of the time...

Project Epoch is an example of a Vanilla+ server using a 3.3.5a WotLK client...
Epoch's file size is also minimal coz its TBC and WotLK content, continent-wise, are scrapped...

That's because Epoch uses AzerothCore. AzerothCore is based in Wrath of the Lich King (3.3.5).
They reversed most Wrath of the Lich King content back to Vanilla, leaving them in for reuse in-case they wanted it for custom content.

The gap is, OctoWoW uses TurtleWoW's core, and it is based on 1.12.1, yes, it is doable, but it is a crazy amount of work.
As far as I've seen, there are a lot of client improvement candidates released so far (Benilla, WoWDot for example), which could be used in OctoWoW.

I'd say, sit tight, wait until the developers have come to a decision on what to use as a next advancement to the client.

At this point I would be open to trying pretty much anything. I cannot get the client to run anywhere near smoothly in raid regardless of any client fixes or mods. 14FPS in MC using everything that should in theory fix the issue.

Look for his Modernization Tool BIS explanation.

You download the tool, run it, choose a few things, and it will fix your FPS issues in raid. You can do it manually by installing all the various things individually but this tool is literally just... Download the launcher, install via the launcher, run the tool, and you're done. It takes me like two minutes. You then need to launch the game from the shortcut it creates.
