We’ve read your feedback on the Epic PvP Gear being tied to AQ40, and we get where you’re coming from.

The reason we don’t want to release it alongside BWL is the same one some of you have raised:
players would be walking around in full PvP gear on Day 1 that’s equal to T2 from BWL.
(Yes we can see your honor, and some of you have a lot and would be instantly fully kitted)

We did some research and looked into the numbers, and gearing up a full T2 set takes about 6-8 weeks on average in WoW Classic. And with the following decision we believe its the perfect middle ground.

Because of that, we’ve decided to move the Epic PvP Gear to Eternal Sanctum release in January, which lands 2 and a half months after the BWL release.

One thing to keep in mind: this will leave a big gap between Rank 13 and Rank 14.

Doesn't it bother you that players have accumulated so much honor precisely because *you* are the ones delaying the release of new content? People spent their time grinding ranks and honor points to earn and equip the gear they deserve. It’s not their fault that you’re releasing BWL five months late—it should have been out two months ago, in which case players wouldn't have this massive surplus of honor. This is hardly a "happy medium"; going two and a half months without any gear upgrades is an *enormous* amount of time. Battlegrounds will become completely dead because there’s simply no point in playing them. It’s the equivalent of removing all the best-in-slot gear from BWL and telling players they can’t get it for another two and a half months—just to ensure no one manages to loot it all in the very first lockout. It’s laughable to read this; it’s nothing short of a slap in the face to the PvP community.

This is so demoralizing. Please just release the BWL level pvp gear with BWL. Why artificially make pvpers wait longer?

Thanks for reconsidering this, but can we perhaps meet in the middle ground since having to wait for another 2 months for epic pvp set is still very absurd.

We've grinded honor for so long and it just doesnt seem fair for those dedicated players.

I’ve got to be real with you here.
You simply cannot treat players like this if you want the server to be successful!

You are stating yourself that you are aware of the amount of honor some players are sitting on. That means for you, they can get their gear day one, which you might not like. This is something you should have actively and transparently considered when you made your road map and set the bwl release date in the first place! No need to keep players in the dark about this.

But for them it means, they invested all this time to grind the honor, with a certain expectation. That expectation has been set by the precedence of turtle wow’s progression.
And then right before the players think after months of grinding they can finally get their reward, you say there is none? This feels like a compete rugpull!
