The idea is simple: we should be watching the world and playing together, rather than spending the whole fight staring at our UI. I wanted threat information to fit naturally into the interface and help a group find its rhythm.
EasyThreat is aimed at group questing and relaxed dungeon runs. Raid optimization isn’t its focus, and neither is deciding who hits hardest. What interests me is how well we play together: giving the tank time to establish aggro, managing our pets, and knowing when to push or ease off. You will find no damage meter here! I do not like the player dynamic this brings.
What does it offer?
- Compact threat bars in enemy tooltips, below the target frame, and optionally on nameplates or in an enemy list.
- Separate player and pet information, because both need managing.
- Configurable roles, colors and displays, so you can keep only what helps you.
- A combat journal to explore how a fight unfolded—aggro, resources, healing and damage in context, with the aim of understanding the fight together.
SuperWoW is optional.
This is still a work in progress, especially when it comes to checking threat calculations across different classes and client setups. Feedback is very welcome: bugs, confusing behavior, missing information—or places where the addon shows too much. Keeping it quiet and readable matters as much as adding features.
The biggest favor you could do me would be to make a video about EasyThreat. A short introduction, some gameplay, or your honest first impressions would be wonderful. It doesn’t need to be polished; seeing what works and what confuses someone during real play is incredibly useful.

Thanks for giving it a try.
