🐼 PandaUI: keep the soul of Vanilla, lose the interface friction

Frames you can't move, no enemy HP numbers, messy bags, a keybind menu that takes forever?
PandaUI is a complete interface overhaul built for OctoWoW: one addon instead of a dozen.

Pick your look, every feature works in all three:
  • Classic WoW: the native UI you know, upgraded
  • Modern: clean, minimalist flat design
  • Modern WoW: the Retail look and feel
What you get
  • Visual Edit Mode: drag any frame or bar, snap to grid
  • Quick Binding: hover a button, press a key. Done.
  • 10 action bars, each fully configurable
  • Unit frames & nameplates: real enemy HP/mana, debuffs, cast bar, swing timer
  • Party & raid frames (up to 40): heal prediction, your HoTs, dispel highlights
  • Smart bags & bank: auto categories, search, sort, one-click junk selling, bank viewable anywhere
  • Talent advisor: Leveling, PvP or Raid builds, shows your next point
  • Equipment sets, restyled Character, Quest Log, Spellbook and Crafting
  • Map coords & zone levels, sell prices, XP/rep bars
  • English, French, Russian, Chinese
How to install
No DLL or extra mod needed: works on the standard OctoWoW client.
  1. Download (always the latest version): PandaUI.zip
  2. Extract it into your OctoWoW folder under : Interface\AddOns\
    You should get Interface\AddOns\pandaUI\pandaUI.toc
  3. Launch the game: every option sits in the Game Settings window, next to Video and Sound
Updating? Delete the old pandaUI folder, then redo steps 1-2. Your settings are kept.

First of all, thx for the Addon, i love it. <3

Now to some issues ;-)

Swingtimer dosent work very well, im playing Hunter and i have the feeling, the swingtimer calculates my Pet, my close range weapon and my bow. all at once ^^ it jumps so much for and back and for and back.

Grid Snap and snap to nearest, is sometimes to clunky and dosent work well, in my test specialy the xp-Bar and the rep-bar, snaping to close together.

In Edit-mode, when i change size of my players font size, the size of my pet value changes too. everyone needs its own var, for it.

no chance to see nameplates of friends and enemies @ same time

i see only one action bar, i turned all on but only one is enabled.

Quest-Log: no colored quest list. only if i complete or its a dungeon or its failed, then i see the status of the quest is colored.

Oh you're the Unreal UI dude. I use it on Emberveil... hope this version is a bit less rough. There's quite a bit more work to do on it IMO. It's a good start tho.

Thanks for your great feedback
Fixed in the 0.13.4 :

The swingbar work great for me, but I only have a lvl 1 hunter, I will keep continue my tests
The pet have no impact to the swingbar
What's your latency ?
Do not hesitate to give me more info on the discords

Grid have been improved, no more overlaping

The pet frame font-size is now independent of your player frame

Friendly and hostile nameplate is now show together

For the quest log, I recommand you to install PandaQuest, it's available on the discords, I will release it on the forum asap : https://github.com/Tom75VN/PandaQuest

I think you was turning ON the action bar from the blizzard setting. You can enable up to 10 bars from the edit mode and the pandaUI addon setting.
Now the blizzard action bar setting also turn ON the pandaUI bars

Hello, yes I port it to the 1.12.1 client
This client have less limitation than the UA client, so yes you have more feature on PandaUI

Have u used UnrealUI long time ago ? PandaUI is very complete, what do you have in mind when you say "There's quite a bit more work"

Don't hesitate to give your feedback on the discords

Thanks !

Wtf ?

Code: Select all

-- Folder-name casing is not worth trusting; compare case-insensitively.
U.RegisterEvent("ADDON_LOADED", function(event, addon)
  if type(addon) == "string" and string.lower(addon) == "pandaui" then
    Initialise()
  end
end)
? :D
