Missing Blacksmith Specialization NPC from 1.18

Hello Dev's,

In 1.18 patch there was a npc added that would allow you drop your blacksmithing specialization but it looks like he didnt make it on our 1.18 patch upgrade. He was a dwarf next to the Ironfoge anvil and there are several npc's next to anvil in org so I am presuming it was one of these guys. Hopefully you can help us blacksmiths as there are new BWL weapons that I wanted to switch my specializations for. Thank you for your time!

I had independently also created a bug report here: https://octowow.st/bug-report?id=902 since I hadn't seen Skyroc's initial post here.

just adding to what Skyroc has said, there is also more confirmation that I found after a lot of digging through turtle's old forum in webarchive:

- “A confirmation dialog now appears when changing blacksmithing specializations.”: https://web.archive.org/web/20260421154 ... hp?t=22642
- Swordsmith Specialization will now be lost upon dropping the Blacksmithing profession." https://web.archive.org/web/20260421040 ... hp?t=18818

also some post from another user, this time on reddit (check first comment): https://www.reddit.com/r/turtlewow/comm ... alization/ - "If you dont like it, you can change your specialization for free in Ironforge, next to big anvil. No idea where for horde. CAUTION: YOU WILL LOSE ALMOST ALL RECIPES. "

So it is for sure how it used to work in Turtle. And it makes sense that it did work that way, since otherwise it'd be extremely punishing to blacksmithing only for no reason (leatherworking/engineering still have the Soothsaying book) and also there'd be no point adding cool BoP items gated behind a blacksmithing specialization that you can never change or unlearn (even if it would come at a great cost)
