Issue with closed beta reward pet

I received an in-game mail with the "Ozzy" small pet attached, though the item itself displayed the question-mark icon. Using it consumed the item, but returned "failed" and did not add a pet to my collection.

Same happened to me, and I have now updated with launcher and deleted WDB, and still no companion.
