For the first while, it'll be a truly fresh and new server, and players from C'Thun won't be able to get an edge over new player.
Yeah let them Transfer to pvp realm from day 1! But: Without titles, gear, items, gold or level!

thats amazing Don, dont forget to rework the resilience stat, reducing dots dmg while they already tickle for funny amount, while meele swings critting you offf the wazoo is not the best design, dots were nerfed for a FLAT amount in the latest turtle patch/class balance so if that latest changelog will be present here, the addtional cringe reduc from said resilience is an overkill, just a bad design overall
Resilence should be either just flat overall dmg reduc, just crit dmg or should not exist at all

There are now T1, T2 and T3 gears that are on par with raid equipment, with boosted Stamina and Resilience. To keep PvE and PvP balanced, we're planning to cap players at Rank 10 until Phase 2 drops (BWL, ZG, ES), which will let them purchase a full 6-piece set of T1 PvP gear, but won't let them get gear with a higher item level than what's available in the current PvE phase. Players will be able to start earning rank progression and Honor as early as level 10 through Battlegrounds and starting contested areas, so by the time they hit 60 they'll already have some rank and honor points to pick up some PvP items. Meanwhile, getting T1 raid gear requires 60lvl and successfully clearing Molten Core with at least 20ppl, where not everyone can quickly get the loot they want - due to the once-a-week lockout cd and how loot is distributed. These restrictions shift the focus toward PvP and make Battlegrounds and PvP events way more appealing, but you'll still need to clear all the current PvE content since not everything can be bought from PvP vendors.

As for transferring characters from the HC server to the PvP realm — this won't be available at launch. Awesome news. Thanks a lot! <3

Second this! Resilience stats that affect the dots put classes that rely on them at a disadvantage
