Bad idea. It will completely ruin any future city raids, because the defenders will just stack lowbies and force everyone to wait ages to res. It’ll ruin PvP.

It also makes late newcomers more likely to join if they cannot get grey killed

Kestrel wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2026 2:56 am Our first round of PvP changes are now in and live. As part of these we have introduced a new "Haunted by the Innocent" Debuff. If you kill a player that registers as a "Grey" level in open world PvP, you will acquire one stack of this debuff. The debuff does not expire until you die. It increases your death timer to 10 minutes on the first stack, increasing to 20 min, 30 min, and then 50% after that per stack up to a 24 hours death timer.

This is of course a work in progress and subject to change so we look forward to hearing feed back over the next several days on how it plays out in game on the Normal and PvP servers.

Thats amazing... but who actually asked for that ? Is that change/mechanic needed ?
Is that really the prio ?

What about the stuff that has been asked for countless of times that players actually want, and what would prevent the flop of a release which we ahve now

1. Buffed exp gained per player kill out in world
2.. Buffed exp gained per bg win and loss
3. FIXED bg exp gain so now enemy death exp is SHARED between all players that been around / contributied to the kill, instead of ONLY by the person who scored the kill. Such a basic and default thing it feels cring to ask for a fix of that in 2026
4. Buffed honor gained per player kill out in world

AND THEN, all the custom/experimental pvp stuff

Yeah, nice idea. If this continues and becomes reality. I'm most likely leaving the server.

This can and most likely will be abused and put a huge penalty on the WPVP town raiders. Which is literally peak wpvp. Raiding city's and towns. It's literally world of warcraft's typical orc vs human type of battles.

Hard pass on this idea. X nope.

Turtle WoW didn't have this, and everyone played just fine, I don't see the point of adding it

The idea is cool as a start to dissuade ganking lowbies, but it's way too broad. Cities/towns should be exempted to allow for attacks on cities from the opposite faction (which is one of the coolest things with PvP-servers). It is the ganking of lowbies out in the wild that is the primary "problem". I'd maybe rather see some sort of bounty-system where a ganker becomes visible on the world map, and faction members are incentivized to hunt him down and protect the lowbies, though I can understand it's difficult to properly implement something like this.
