Crashes on Character Login

Hey,
I'm glad I was finally able to sign up for the beta. Unfortunately, I'm now having a few issues:
When I try to log into my character, the game loads until the progress bar is full, but then crashes with an empty message box.
Character creation still works normally and without any issues.

I used TurtleWOW for the installation, as recommended. Maybe that’s the problem? I also still have the German version installed, but I can’t switch it back here.

I also tried disabling all mods, but that didn’t make a difference.

i suggest a clean install and just c/p your addons

Yea really. Now it works. Doesnt seem to be a good idea to upgrade from turtle. Also the login Screen was still like Turtle.

I'm experiencing exactly what you described, and the launcher won't let me download anything. If you could be so kind as to say how you solved it, I'd appreciate it.

I was having similar problems. I would be able to log into the game, create my character and as soon as the loading screen was near completion, it would crash. My solution; The launcher suggests that you place the files for Octowow in the same location as your TWOW files. I just uninstalled TWOW, along with any files related to ((add-ons etc. )) and created a brand new folder and used that to house the files for Octowow and I am running the game just fine now. Hope that helps!

I deleted the Launcher an reinstalled it. Than I've chosen a completely new directory for the Install. So it downloaded the complete game. After that it worked just fine.
In terms of settings etc. I was able to copy the old ones from turtle and was good to go.
