[REQUEST] Please post what you change, last "update" broke linux install.

A small request for the devs:

When you make changes that force the still-buggy-as-hell-launcher to "update" files, could you PLEASE post in the patch notes section at least a few words on what you did. After your last "patch" on patch-A.mpq I've been TOTALLY unable to enter the "cook room" / backrooms on ANY inns, taking one step in == instant crash with memory can't be read (alliance, and repeats on every char & realm).

Since I have Linux + vulkan + other mods, some HD mods, addons, selfmade addons etc it's truly SHITLOADS of extra work for me to test every single one of then one by one trying to find what *you* broke. ATM installing mpq editor through wine again so that I can do a long shot checking patch-A with it and compare to the old patch-A.

I would reeeeeally appriciate at least a few lines from the "patch dudes" to know what I'm up against after every patch you do.

Nothing against devs, You do a great job, and beta is still beta etc, but have some mercy on ppl running non-windows os, pls?

edit: Yeah, I still do play, I just avoid places where the game crashes. pretty hard to learn new cooking recipes though..

You know, you can start the game without using the launcher.. do you?
Might help your "issue"...

also.. it is not OctoTeam responsible to check the addons you yourself "wrote" and make them work with their patch

Where did i say i use it in linux to start the game? i wrote that "when their launcher forces an update.." == I use it only to see updates / patches like everyone does.

And where did I say it's their job to check users addons? I said that they should at least say *what* they did, so it's easier for ppl to do bugtracking. NOT asking because I write addons, but because i use Linux. There's shitloads of stuff unrelated to MY addons that can break linux gaming. For example I've had (in twow) mods that worked in windows without a problem and couldn't be stable in linux.

Yes, I could install windows like peeps who depreciate privacy.
Yes, I could play without any mods or addons.
Yes, I could play retail or delete the whole game.

But equally, you could learn to READ & give constructive feedback. You know SHIT about me & my coding, so the way you are quoting word "wrote" is nothing but a pitty insult pointed at me.

You didn't said it directly.. but yes.. with me having a reading comprehension and an IQ above body temperature... I say again: They are not responsible for your addons that brake.. they didn't "brake" any of your

Yes you are indeed "that annoying linux dude".. feeling so (pretentious) superior.. if you are indeed so good.. figure out your crappy addon you let fucking AI "code" for you and be done.. or even better: Yes.. delete the game and move on

I have it seen so many times in the modding community.. people write their own stuff.. good, valid... and then brake something or their precious mods/addons don't work after the game got an update.. and they blame the devs...

for your information kiddo: YOU USE ADDONS ON YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Deal with it or piss the fuck off...
