Leave it as is.

A mechanic that magically removes level 60 mob tag boosting would be great assuming no side affects.

Open World Boosting

In light of the recent conversation around boosting, we would like to get some feedback regarding how the community feels about open world boosting in general. Any result of this poll is of course non-binding and just used as a way to gather information on the publics opinion.

The more rules we have the more ppl will try to find a way to workaround them.

When the PvP server gets older there will be more high level players to gank the people just starting out or making an alt which would be really annoying so if you cant get help from a high level player you are screwed

I see no reason to allow open world boosting and change the way instance based boosting works as is. It’s less obtrusive to other players and still fast for leveling alts. Please allow both

I think many of us have enjoyed inviting old friends to join us on TurtleWoW and now OctoWoW. However, not everyone is excited about starting the entire leveling journey from scratch again. Being able to help friends level through open-world boosting has always felt like a healthy form of social interaction rather than something harmful to the game.

With the absence of tents giving rested experience, open-world boosting is already naturally less effective than it used to be. Because of that, I don't believe it requires any additional restrictions.

Where I do believe a firm stance is important is dungeon boosting.

Dungeon boosting has historically gone hand in hand with the growth of RMT services. Once players can efficiently sell dungeon carries, it creates a profitable market that inevitably attracts gold sellers and commercial boosting operations. That has long-term consequences for the economy and the overall health of the server.

Protecting the community from those kinds of systems is, in my opinion, the right strategic decision. Encouraging players to group together and experience dungeons as intended strengthens the social aspect of the game, while limiting opportunities for commercial boosting and RMT.

In short:

-Open-world boosting between friends: I don't see this as a problem and believe it should remain possible.
-Dungeon boosting: I strongly support measures that prevent or significantly limit it in order to protect the server from RMT and commercial boosting.

I believe this strikes a healthy balance between helping friends enjoy the game together while safeguarding the long-term integrity of the server.

Allow mob tagging, but no multiboxing while mob tagging.
So someone else should be ok to mobtag another person, but not himself. Problem solved

Also the choices on the poll are pretty unclear to me.
Is the top vote, mob tagging allowed or not allowed?
What are we leaving as is? The non boosting rule?
Can you clarity the choices? A lot of people are kinda confused in my guild on what means what.

I briefly played on another realm where boosting was disabled and it created a lot of unexpected problems. There was one time we had a group for SFK and most players were 23-26 but when a 35 joined, nobody gained XP because they were just outside the level range.

I'd say leave it alone and let higher level players help the lowbies.

Agree with Holy. If two users are in the same guild, that are not multi boxing, 2 real users, doing mob tagging with 1-2 mob at a time, allow that to continue. If it gets shutdown in instances to prevent RMT with pulling loads of mobs, quitting group to get loads of mobs, have no issue with that. Even if there was a max amount of levels or it was limited only up to 35, would be also good compromise
