As our community continues to grow, we find ourselves at the point where our GM's can no longer adequately keep up with daily in game chat moderation. In light of this we are forming a community moderation team! If you have any interest in applying please read the details below.

The primary role of the moderation team members will be to play the game just as they usually do, but keep an eye on the world/general chats in the game to ensure that all the rules are being followed. This will be something we enable on your account so that you can preform your duties while playing the game normally on any character.

As compensation for your effort you will be given 200 OctoTokens a month and the Friend of the Team pet Buccaneer Bubbles.

Heya! Its good to see the popularity growing up, the biggest the ship goes, the more crew needed for smooth traveling.

Similar to my post concerning the invitation offered for content creators, i think its important to specify the risks of doing this directly in your offer, im pretty sure the actual team wont blindly pick up *ignorant* people. Still, there can be some real consequence for some people not adequatly prepared or fully understand of what they are getting into just because they love Octo and want it to be a better place or simply being part/involve in the community*.

What happened with Twow or previous Pserver is something that shouldnt be forgotten or left silently. The overall transparency you guys did so far is already over my expectation, i sincerely hope this will continue in the interest of everyone. This is some parental statement probably for such small collaboration, in the end, this is just a personnal opinion without the intention of offending anyone.

It is important to acknowledge the legal risks that all players take when assisting our server. Some large gaming companies have a history of overly aggressive and intimidating legal tactics and have been known to target anyone they can get a hold of.

This position would not be one that would put you on the "OctoWoW Team" officially. This would be a community moderation role that is piloted from your normal player account. As a result of that you will likely not be anonymous unless you choose to keep your moderation roll a secret yourself. We don't view this as a high risk role or something that would genuinely expose you to any just legal risk, but the risk of unjust legal pressure is very real depending on the country you reside in.
