Greetings!
There was a great world PvP event last Sunday. Alliance forces attacked the Horde in the Barrens.
It was a cool WPvP event. To increase the fun and engagement of the players involved, here are some suggestions.
1. Remove dishonorable kills (DKs)
During mass WPvP, civilian NPCs always die. DKs decrease your PvP rank progression, and many players may be frightened away from WPvP because of that.
DKs are a tool to prevent griefing, like killing quest givers, but there's another way to solve this problem — reporting the griefer directly. So there's no sense in punishing WPvP players with DKs.
2. Remove the reputation loss from killing goblins at zeppelin towers
Some locations in the game are great for starting WPvP. Having an enemy raid or group in such places provokes players of the opposite faction to come and fight. One of these locations is the zeppelin towers in Durotar.
However, the goblins there are aggressive to Alliance players, and you have to kill them. Killing goblins decreases your reputation in neutral towns such as Ratchet and Gadgetzan.
This is, again, a punishment for WPvP players simply for taking part in WPvP activities.
We believe that removing dishonorable kills and this reputation loss will help the WPvP side of the game without making other parts worse.
