I’m not on any terms with either side, but given the screenshots that were posted on the community Discord, it would be appropriate to at least issue an official statement.

If at least part of these were true - this issue SHOULDN'T be swept under the rug, if only because - since the server’s guiding principle is a lack of trust and, to some extent, anonymity - so exploiting this to help other players should be punished.

I also advocate that any instance of contact other than official communication - or any that clearly indicates familiarity - be penalized by both the moderation staff member and the players involved.

If this is all fake all the instigators should get permabanned for harassment.

This is a reasonable take. The screenshot posted of messages from Lyric and Pig are unprofessional and it would be good to be addressed. I understand why some GMs might not like the person they were discussing because of his overuse of reporting people for things such as standing too close to him in Stormwind, discussing punishment in the way shown is inappropriate in my opinion.

As an officer of Levia, I have no desire to be the "villain" of Octowow. I understand that controlling world bosses will lead to that sentiment amongst some members of the community, but it will always be that way on any Classic WoW server. (It'll help once the devs get the Turtle summon mechanics fully in!) It's also clear to me that all servers will have toxic members of the community that will constantly fan the flames of whatever grift they can latch onto.

I welcome a full investigation by Kestrel. Any wrongdoing should be punished, always. But then the question after comes -- do you want this server to have obnoxiously loud members of the community constantly trying to incite unrest against the staff and top guilds?

Tokens were a compensation for having to go through this situation, it's what the team, Kestrel at least, has done for some bans that have been overturned. I didn't get the tokens immediately after the overturning of the ban, but after it came to light what the circumstances behind the ban were.

I wasn't banned for nothing per say, the reason was I called people, and Pigs dismissive messages against the community's outcry over the boosting rule change retarded.
Both me and Kestrel agreed that I should've been punished for this, but we also agreed that a 10 day ban wasn't warranted for this. We did not have a conversation of what the punishment should've been instead.
The length of the ban itself, in light of these allegations was seemingly due to bias against me by the people involved.

u werent the only person who got banned by them aswell. apparently more people got banned it seems i am agreeing giving out tokens for false bans and staff i got aswell nothing wrong about it the way he gave u the points while he made u look like a clown for not doing anything about pig/lyric/levia is not fine even tho he got much info it seems to ban them both

That is a genuinely impressive lack of self-awareness coming from you Clown and from an officer ofLevia. You have somehow managed to describe your own guild perfectly while pretending you are talking about everyone else.

At least we can agree the server has a problem. We just disagree on whether Levia should be diagnosing it or looking in a mirror.

That's sad to hear, and I'm not downplaying what has happened and is going on right now with this situation. I do see the sentiment from players that this has to be addressed by the team, as this has become a bigger issue and is actively making some players reconsider if this is the server they wanna continue playing on and making a community in.

To be honest. If even half of what's been said is true... Well. Playing on a server where the administration is all about one specific guild and banning anyone they point a finger at...
That need to be addressed as soon as possible before any more damage its done to server reputation.
