Finding groups for instances while leveling was hard enough, but after this exp nerf it will become even harder....
You can still dungeon with friends and get the MMO experience. You just shouldn't get a level or more each dungeon. that's insane. Not to mention the fact rest is unlimited and people can literally make a tent as soon as rest runs out. It's broken exploit and everyone knows it. Dungeons were getting some people almost 2 levels in one run. I think it should only give crazy XP with quests, perhaps 3-6k XP for certain quests. Once you run out of dungeon quests, then you aren't going for ridiculous xp farming, but getting good gear to QUEST in the real world. I had a problem where I leveled up so fast from dungeons that it was pointless for me to continue certain questlines because I outleveled the zone. In my opinion, unlimited rest should be removed, along with the broken boosting exploit mob tagging. Leveling in turtle wow is WAY too easy.Baelin wrote: Tue Jul 14, 2026 2:16 am "Living in a dungeon and not doing quests defeats the purpose of questing and experiencing the world" -- you mean playing an MMORPG with other players? creating Friends you enjoy playing with? there are many reasons to play in dungies
"What do you do after you have all end game gear?" -- you make an alt. we are talking about years of play to get to this point.
"PvP should have its own path with different rewards that pve players should want to do imo" -- thats is a fine opinion to but i dont think it should be applied in a way that makes PVP the best option for leveling. PvP in an unbalanced game for PVP isnt good. if i wanted to PvP id play counterstrike or a MOBA where the games are designed to be faught on a semi even footing. PVP should reward resilence gear not PVE gear that gets out paced by BWL
there is no boosting on Octowow, that was posted a few days ago, if youre implying that i am boosting i am not. i follow the rules that are posted. if you have changed those rules you should update them on your website and discord, because the lack of transparency on changing of rules shouldnt be something you have to constantly be looking for on some obscure forum post but displayed on the website where the rules are. myself and others are unhappy with making PVP the main focus for leveling as its honestly an unbalanced unfun game to PVP in. MOST people play on PVE servers for a reason and it should be apparent. most people dont enjoy the PVP. making it harder to level by nerfing dungeon EXP i think is a poor way to make people play in the new zones - which i enjoy as well - but this is an MMO a game based 100% around people working together - making people not want to dungeon because of the poor reward for doing so 1-60 then 180 change to OK NOW YOU NEED TO GROUP UP TO PROGRESS and lots of these new players are terrible because they have no idea how to work as a team.Kestrel wrote: Mon Jul 13, 2026 11:10 pm There were no changes to dungeon mob exp last patch. Several patches ago we did fix the group dropping exp funneling exploit if perhaps that is what you are now noticing.
if leveling to easy is your complaint then you should be against the boost in EXP from PVP because its absolutely faster than being boosted by a level 60. 25% of a level WITHOUT warmode on for a win in AB?? thats over the top.Stunt wrote: Tue Jul 14, 2026 2:29 amYou can still dungeon with friends and get the MMO experience. The generic blanket no boosting rule has been removed. Nobody expects you to know every small detail of the rules as long as you are not botting or RMTing or some other obvious exploit you will not be insta banned. I did not imply you were I said that may be what you are noticing if you are noticing a change.Baelin wrote: Tue Jul 14, 2026 2:32 amthere is no boosting on Octowow, that was posted a few days ago, if youre implying that i am boosting i am not. i follow the rules that are posted. if you have changed those rules you should update them on your website and discord, because the lack of transparency on changing of rules shouldnt be something you have to constantly be looking for on some obscure forum post but displayed on the website where the rules are. myself and others are unhappy with making PVP the main focus for leveling as its honestly an unbalanced unfun game to PVP in.
